My work is grounded in the person centred approach, which is both powerful and transformative. I believe that we all have within us the resources to become more fully our selves and realise our unique potential. This natural growth process is most likely to happen when we feel fully accepted, respected and understood by a person who is real and committed to being alongside us.
My intention is to come alongside you and to create a space in which you can be freely who or what you are, where you can find your truth and what it means to be true to yourself (to be you).
I offer an opportunity to be accompanied along this exploratory journey in a deep and meaningful way. My aim is to support people to find their own way forward, to discover what resources they have, develop resilience and make choices that are of benefit to both themselves and the people they care about and the communities in which they live.
I have a gift of listening to pain, distress, fear, anger and sadness. These experiences and feelings are often suppressed and not acknowledged. We live in a culture that either denies these big feelings and experiences, or tries to make them go away or to fix them in some way, or tells us to think positive! Our feelings and experiences long to be understood, heard and met with compassion.
The way I work is unique to each person and is never reduced to a series of techniques. I am available to working with you on any issue that feels important to you, and engaging in a process that is helpful and supportive to you.
